Strengthening the management framework for sustainable use of biodiversity to increase the protection of high conservation-value forests in Argentina

The complainant alleges that UNDP is supporting activity connected to the destruction of native forests, wetlands and an AICA (IBA - Important Bird Area) in the province of Corrientes, ARGENTINA. The complainant further alleges that the "the government continues to destroy without having made the environmental impact studies and corresponding evaluations and without taking into account the opinion of the scientists.", and implies that UNDP's activity is in violation of the Social and Environmental Standards as it relates to this alleged destruction.
